Markal Artist Painststik is a solid stick form, with a protective skin which is removed before use.
This stick has the same quality as the oil tube paint. The colors are completely compatible and can be blended with any oil paints.
60 colors can be mixed.
The time of drying is between 18 to 24 hours according to the support.
You can paint virtually anywhere, at any time, and on almost any surface: canvas, paper, wood, plastic, metal, and fabric.
The paints are non-toxic, and emit no unpleasant odours or fumes. Making a stencil with Markal Artist Paintstik is very easy and without risk.
Lots of paint builds up around the edge of the stencil, and generally creates a mess, the paintstik doesn’t flow between the stencil and the support.
1 - Place your stencil in correct position and adhere to surface using adhesive rubber.
2 - Remove the protective skin of the paintstik with a cutter.
3 - Blot off the paintstik onto cardboard plate that you will use as a palette.
4 - Load the paint onto a stencil brush.
5 - Hold brush as a pencil and handle straight.
Start at outside edges of cutouts. Hold your stencil with the other hand. A circular "scrubbing" motion works well (an up-and-down motion).
Starting with the lightest color, rub a small amount onto separate pallette surface, then rub the darker color into it until the desired shade
is achieved.
6 - As soon as you finish the decoration with your stencil, unstick it, use standard or citrus solvents to clean off
tools and work surfaces. With a little bit of extra work, they can be cleaned with soap and water. Allow the painted fabric
to "dry" for 3 or 4 days, and then put the varnish.
Note: A wall will dry in 48 hours, and more for a wood.
